I do not know whether I would be best using MoiraDB or MySQL for my new installation of SuiteCRM. Obviously, there is the issue of Oracle owning MySql to consider but also there is the concern that MoiraDB and MySQL are already diverging. Some advice and discussion from a SuiteCRM perspective would be useful before I make the decision.
OK … it’s actually MariaDB not Moira.
SuiteCRM will support both.
The differences between Maria and MySQl are a little like the differences between SugarCRM and SuiteCRM. the core is the same but the goodies are different.
You can confidently run SuiteCRM on MariaDB.
