Module Loader does not list installed modules

I have installed three modules (KReporter base, core and a test custom module).

After they are loaded from module loader their installation is fine and the modules are available and work fine.

However, if I go back to Module loader they are not listed among the installed modules.
They appear, instead, in the list of loaded modules ready to be installed.

Permissions are set as indicated by Will.
OS: CentOS shared hosting
PHP: 5.3

As far as I am aware KReporter base, core are already installed into suite by default. could still be a permissions issue.
