this is the second thread I’ve opened on this forum. As I mentioned before, I’m currently evaluating different CRM solutions and, over the past few weeks, I’ve been looking into SuiteCRM as a possible candidate for my needs.
Today I’ve been checking whether it’s possible to configure user’s Outlook personal account so they can check their email and send messages directly from within the CRM.
From what I can see, SuiteCRM handles this through IMAP. According to Microsoft’s documentation, the authentication method for IMAP is “OAuth2 / Modern Auth”. This made me wonder whether SuiteCRM is compatible with OAuth2 / Modern Auth. I noticed there’s a menu option to register an external OAuth provider, although it seems to require registering an application in Microsoft first - which struck me as a bit odd. Maybe I’m not interpreting it correctly.
Has anyone here managed to successfully configure personal Outlook accounts for CRM users with OAuth2 / Modern Auth?
