Looking for Insight Installing SuiteCRM on a Virtualmin instance

I have been running SuiteCRM for years on a direct EC2 instance on AWS. I am looking to consolidate a number of my services into less EC2’s…

In a test install, I can’t get the ownership correct. Of course, I am attempting to change ownership to www-data as well noted to do, but it just kills my installation until I turn the file ownership back.

Virtualmin is pretty new for me, I feel I am missing something.

Processor: Intel® Xeon® CPU E5-2686 v4 @ 2.30GHz, 2 cores
Linux 4.4.0-1096-aws on x86_64
OS: Ubuntu Linux 16.04.6
Usermin: 1.780
Nginx 1.10.3
MariaDB v.10.0.38
PHP 7.0

Has anyone else installed on Webmin/Virtualmin and can give some insight? Thanks

If you read the instructions carefully, it doesn’t say to change ownership to “www-data”. It says

If you go in Admin / Schedulers, at the bottom, in the crontab instructions, you will find your web server user name.
