I first believe it when i see it. And when i see that the theme is finally usable. For that time i will stick to the so called “LTS”.
@gunnicom you are right, of course, actions are what counts, not words.
But it’s a clear progress the way this 7.10 release is planned. It’s really focused on the right things.
In previous releases and previous plans, there was always some major feature consuming all the attention… so this has a much better potential of making progress in the bugfixes and stability.
I just spotted this thread.
@gunnicom … Is it primarily the Suite P theme that makes 7.9.x unusable for you?
If so, have you checked out the “Suite P Improved” theme mentioned elsewhere on this forum? It did a lot to address compactness.
A few of us further tweaked this variation, to suit our individual needs.
Mostly yes.
I did not try it.
I will have to look, if i really can stick to SuiteCRM at all. Salesagility is doing nothing to improve, they are lying about security, and do not listen to the community at all. And this since years. I dont believe anymore, that this will change anytime.
I would suggest that you checkout the compact version of the Suite P theme. It will take you about 20 minutes to install and is downloadable from several other posts on this forum.
If it was essentially just Suite P holding you back, I am a little surprised that you had not checked the forums to investigate possible workarounds, as most others do. Being open source, SuiteCRM is a community … where we attempt to help each other, with both give and take.
Sales Agility is a commercial entity that is in existence to make a profit from its commercial users, as all businesses do. They have actually given a great deal by taking over the reins of open source CRM from SugarCRM Inc. to create something that is usable by many … at a price that is hard to beat!
7.10 promises to be the version that will stabilize and solidify the software. If it’s not for you, then indeed go try another CRM solution, but even the likes of Sugar and Salesforce are not without their issues … and you will pay dearly to use them.
