Leads/Contacts Detail Layout: Button options?

Hi,

Although I have configured user role to disallow access to the Email (Marketing/Templates) and PDF Templates modules, the user still sees “Generate Letter” and “Manage Subscriptions” as button options in the “Detail” view. I am referring to the “Edit” button at the top of the detail view page.

How can I add/remove options for this button? Please help.

Never mind, I was able to figure it out.

For others benefit, the button definition can be changed in /custom/modules//metadata/detailviewdefs.php

In this case, I just had to remove lines 16 through 36.
