Ldap password issue.

Hello All. New user here.
I have SuiteCRM installed on a university server. MY admin is off on leave.
Ldap settings are ON, but SuiteCRM is still asking for password though the guide says it won’t do this when Ldap settings are enabled.
In fact for two users (myself as administrator and a colleague as regular user) it didn’t ask and ldap log in has worked fine.
Other Users I am adding have been required to input their passwords at the user create screen.

Any advice or suggestions please? I won’t be able to ask all users to put their passwords in in this way.

Eventually found a solution if anybody else needs it…

Create and input a basic password “1234Word” for example and then you are allowed to save.
As long as the LDAP sign in is checked that password will be ignored.

Which version of SuiteCRM are you running?

It seems to be Version 7.11.6, Sugar Version 6.5.25 (Build 344)
