Issue on "group user"

Just create a group user, and every time I recall this group here the error:
Warning: Smarty error: unable to read resource: “modules/Users/tpls/DetailViewHeader.tpl” in /mydirectory/htdocs/suitecrm/SuiteCRM-7.9.5/include/Smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1094

You really need to tells us something about your system: versions of OS, SuiteCRM and PHP, at the very least.

Then, you can try reproducing this on the demo:

demo.suiteondemand.com

That way we can check if it’s just your problem, or a bug for everyone.

on demo there isn’t the admin section
This error show me when I goes to admin–>user management and click on a group user (same error when created it)
I use Version 7.9.5
Sugar Version 6.5.24 (Build 509)
PHP 7

I suspect you might have permissions problems in your system. Is this a new installation?

Have you tried a Quick Repair and Rebuild, a maybe a few other repairs?

If you don’t set file and directory permissions correctly, when your web server tries to read files, it gets an error.

Please answer my other questions, and try the repairs, so we can continue.

It’s new installation, on 1and1 server hosting. I’ve follow suggestion on change 755 permission for cache, custom, modules, themes, data, upload
I’ve already quick repair, but same issue

  1. Can you please tell me the instructions you see on the bottom of your Admin/Schedulers screen?

  2. Please run this command from the root of your SuiteCRM installation:


ls -al

Your permissions seem to be correct.

There was another question several posts ago: Is this a new installation? Or was it working fine before?

If it’s new, you should probably just ask your hosting provider about your error. They should be able to explain why a file isn’t getting served.

Ask them if they’re running modsec, or try disabling it from your CPanel, if you have that option. Some people have reported that this interferes.

I don’t think my hosting provider (1and1)
I do not think 1and1 knows how to solve the problem
1and1 doesn’t use cpanel, instead use own proprietary control panel
It’s strange, but other all suitecrm works very well.

I just re-read this whole thread and there’s one question I forgot to ask you: do you have any problem with this, apart from the message on the screen?

Because if you don’t, what you should do is simply turn off error_reporting on php.ini.

Honestly, I have no problem with this warning, except that (I think) I do not work the permissions, roles and security systems for employees. But I’m definitely telling you I’m not good at setting permissions, roles, and groups.
Can you help me with this topic, or give me a hint where to find explanations / manuals about using ect permissions-roles?

Turning off error_reporting is a basic task in administering SuiteCRM, everybody does it, I just forgot to tell you earlier. So do it and don’t worry about this warning any more.

The other issue you’re asking me about, we need to distinguish two things:

  1. Linux ownerships and permissions on your files and directories - let’s assume you got this right unless we have further problems

  2. SuiteCRM Security Suite settings. Yes, it’s complicated. I normally recommend this article, copy that set up and then adjust it to your needs:
