installation problems on centos

Set the following permissions on the SuiteCRM directory(Linux):
sudo chown -R www-data:www-data .
sudo chmod -R 755 .
sudo chmod -R 775 cache custom modules themes data upload config_override.php

step 1: sudo chown -R www-data:www-data please assist as i cannot wrap my head around what the www-data means and i cannot move further with my install.

Please assist

Hi there,

In CentOS, the owner is normally apache:apache not www-data:www-data. Does this work?

Ok i have fixed the problem, but what about the MB Strings Module…i have read documentation and cannot find the option to enable it. please assist

could someone please assist me on an issue i am having, instead of using my IP @ “yourserver” i want to use eg : dev.mycomapany.co.za/crm
