Installation Issue - Stuck

Hi,

I tried to install SuiteCRM in our Plesk server, however I couldn’t continue to the next step. Everytime I clicked on the Next button, it doesn’t do anything.

No errors are generated either…

Please advise…

Thanks,

H

Hi

  1. Check your install.log

  2. Did you set correct permissions?

  3. On which step did it fail? After entering database credentials or before?

  1. Step where I enter the database credentials and site configuration

This is the screenshot…

What is your version of OS, PHP, database, web server, and SuiteCRM?

Do you see any errors in php_errors.log?

Or in your browser’s web developer console? (javascript errors)

Thanks

I’m having the exact same isssue and error outputting on my logs.

I then went and looked in /custom and there was no custom/install folder let alone, custom/install/install_hooks.php

Anyone know whats going on?

That “Could not find custom/install/install_hooks.php” message is not an error, it is just saying that it looks for custom hooks to execute, doesn’t find any, so it doesn’t do anything. but it’s not a problem.

You’ll have to look for other things…

I would advise making sure your ownerships/permissions are right.

Your files are owned by ftp_dci:psacln. What is the username your web server is running under?

You can use

ps -ef | grep -i apache

to check. If you’re not using Apache then change that into your web server executable name.

Hi,

I have also had same problem for 2 clients. There was AJAX error in browser console.

Thanks

Yeah, all the same here on Apache … no idea what’s going on, stops on a YAHOO exception, but looked at yui folder under javascript and all seems fine there …

I’ve downloaded and uploaded, unzipped the install packages several times – just no go on the Next button on that enter database name screen.

Thanks for any escalated support that can be provided here guys.

David

Can any of you activate XDEBUG and use a debugger to step through the installer code and see where it’s failing?

Anybody? Guys at my hosting company just said the install thing is buggy, said no way around, they did permissions and all. Only option was to install Version 7.9.16 Sugar Version 6.5.25 (Build 344), which installed perfectly.

Wonder what changes to the installer were made between 7.9.16 and current version.

@global-dave

I believe the installer works just fine. If “the guys in your hosting company” can get in a forum thread with me and work things out I am sure we can get it working. And if there is any bug, I would like to know about it and fix it, of course.

Please ask them to open a thread with exact system information, and detailing what errors/problems they are seeing. Thanks.

Try uploading files individually by FTP instead of Unzipping file in hosting File manager

I had the same problem and found another post that said that unzipping the file a different way fixed the “Step 2 of 2 - Configuration next button no doing anything”
If you unzip using windows default “extract all” and then upload. Worked for me.

If SuiteCRM install file zip is ziped using a different method that is safe to extract in Linux/cPanel file manager may fix this issue

https://suitecrm.com/suitecrm/forum/installation-upgrade-help/1592-next-button-not-working-during-installation-license-page

I have the same problem: the Next do not do nothing.

Reading this post, I have unzziped the SuiteCRM-7.10.4 in Windows, then I zipped the files again, I upload this new zip file, and extract it with my cPanel File Admin and then it works !!!
