Error during installation, any help what I’ve done wrong here?
Error: * The provided database host, username, and/or password is invalid, and a connection to the database could not be established. Please enter a valid host, username and password
Many things are possible, and you should look at your logs.
I suggest checking that you have a working DB installation in your PHP (activate the necessary PHP modules).

Will check on this. I’ll update you once there are progress or if I need more help. Thanks a lot 
the “update-alternatives --list php” does not work on any command line interface.
Both of MySQL and xampp has php 8.0
I might just try to reconfigure from the start
