Incoming Email Configuration

I am trying to configure SuiteCRM email functionality. Is there any documentation that might explain the basics for me? I have configured the outgoing SMTP set up okay. I am struggling to get my head around how the incoming mail works. I see how I can configure a shared email like Sales or Support but I can’t see how I can set up an individuals incoming email.

Any help much appreciated

go to
email -> setting -> mail account -> add

after that please add all your info

mail account name = your name
username : youremail@domain.com
password : your password
mail server address = mail.yourdomain.com (usually like this)
mail server protocol = imap
port = 143 (if use SSL then check the box)

Trash folder = INBOX.Trash
Sent folder = INBOX.sent

for outgoing setting
is the same like incoming mail setting

What if we do not have IMAP setup for our email server?

Is it possible to setup Inbound/bounce Email account without IMAP protocol?

Does anyone know it?

I don’t think its possible. What protocol would you be using besides IMAP?

Under protocol, I can see None and IMAP
