Hello,
We’re currently setting up SuiteCRM and most things are working great.
Notifications are working for desktop and email but are not working in the app (the bell icon top right).
We are running version 7.9.7 / MySQL 5.6.35 / PHP 7.1.8 and using the standard theme.
Any help is much appreciated!
Did you set up your cron jobs correctly? Are they running well?
Check Admin / Schedulers and tell me how it looks.

Job logs suggest cron is working fine. There are also no errors in the suite log. Any other possibilities?
One possibility is time zone problems. Maybe your notifications are firing, but at the wrong times, so you’re not seeing them.
You need to set your timezone in two different php.ini’s, one for the main app, one for the cron jobs (which normally run from the command-line, that’s PHP CLI).
About the logs, check also php_errors.log, you can see important things there.

Most of those PHP messages can be safely ignored, more so if they are “notice” type.
Instead of checking the latest from the log, try grepping it (or any other way to filter) for FATAL and ERROR messages. If you’re lucky these should appear when a notification is being set up, or when it should be firing but fails, and you can work from that clue.
