identify a group of leads

I want to tag several leads according to the show I met them at.

I could add a field for tags or whatever and then filter on that.

I am wondering if there is a better way? I don’t think I want to use security groups.

Any suggestions?

I use an add-on called tagMe for that purpose, it’s really neat, applies to all modules, and users love it.
