Audit Logs are not Showing in View Change Log

Dear Team, With reference to below link we managed to create users_audit table automatically by creating an entry in the /custom/Extension/modules/Project/Ext/Vardefs/enableAuditing.php file. The logs are getting captured in the table however the view change log was still not showing data. Opportunities_audit stopped saving data

I am trying to find change logs for a opportunity record but in opportunities_audit table last saved record is from 1 years ago, not sure if anyone disabled functionality but how to enable audits for opportunity.
