How to fetch data from database and display into custom text field

HI,
I’m using Suite Crm 7.4 in my localhost and i want to make an auto increment value for emp_id . While Creating new record i wnat to display new auto incremented value into my emp_id text field. When ever i created new record it display new id in that field.
