Help setting up and figuring oue Suit CRM


I am new to CRM but not to software development.
I would like to know where can I find a manual explaining how it works, how a lead can become a client and so on.
I need a way to register calls and especially if somebody was already called for any specific item or sales pitch s it doesn;t get called twice.

I cannot figure out the difference between contact, lead, possible client, etc…

So if /i understand correctly I first create a lead and start calling and offering, then if he buys something I convert to to an account/contact (what is the difference? where and how would I use each?).

How do I convert a lead to an account/contact?
