Having a field in Customers automatically match up with a field in Opportunities

Hi, im sure something like this is possible but im not quite seeing it.

Basically I want a field in a given Customer(their home state for example) to automatically populate a matching field in their associated Opportunity.

If its possible for this to be done retroactively even better since nobody around here can plan ahead and then just asks for it to be done after the fact :slight_smile:

So that all the opportunities that already exist, get their State field filled in to match the state from their address in their Customer module.

You should be able to do it with a workflow.

Can I use a workflow to update the opportunities that already exist or will I likely have to do a re-upload of all of the opportunities

You should be able to do both (already existing and new). Probably with two similar workflows
