Global search always blank

No matter what I search for, I always get a blank results page when running the global search. I just shows a blank screen that says “Use Basic Search.”

• Optimise AOD Index has been running successfully every 3 hours
• All the relevant modules are enabled under Admin > Global Search

Is there anything else I should check? Thanks.

Could you please attach some screenshots?
Is this for all users or just certain?
Have you done anything of significance before this started happening?
Suite Version?
Have you tried clearing your cache?
Is this still happening in 7.7.6?

Actually, Optimize AOD Index is not running properly. I thought it was, because it said done under Job Status, but under Last Successful Run, it says Never.

I am going to try using the solution discussed here: “Optimise AOD Index” and “Perform Lucene Index” failed in cron run

You have to delete the /modules/AOD_Index/Index/Index directory. I did it through the command line, but you can do it through FTP or whatever software you use to access the files on your server.

Then you have to delete all the records from the aod_index and aod_indexevent tables in your SuiteCRM database. I did this through phpmyadmin on my web host.

Upon the next cron job, the index should start to be rebuilt, slowly. I have 2700 records, and it took about a week for all of them to be indexed.

Okay, looks like it might be fixed. I have a couple thousand records so I’ll let it run for a few days and see how it goes.

I have the same issue , but i have only 20 records :((
