Hello Suite CRM users,
I have been trying to use suite over the past few weeks and wondered if anyone could shed some light on some things and maybe help me identify (or my IT host) where some of our problems are occurring and how he or I can get them fixed.
We are running our instance of suite crm on a shared Linux server. When we have installed instances of suitecrm, it seems that once the installer is complete, it is necessary to re-do all the permissions settings. Is this common amongst others? With some of the issues we’ve experienced we’ve gone to try and see whether it is something about suite that is different compared to a community version of sugar. My it host mentioned that he did not have to reset any permissions after performing the install of sugar.
Some of the things we’ve experienced are:
-
“undefined” appearing where “loading, please wait” used to appear
-
“undefined” appearing in the workflow and for some buttons
(These two I know where corrected by permissions problems last time, but seem to have jumped back in - is there something we are missing?) -
some of the dashlets won’t load into the homepage (but do on the sugar version) when I click for them too (it seems to be specifically anything in the second coloumn)
-
the line item descriptions are “undefined”
-
An odd thing, when adding a chart for campaign ROI I get two “fail” buttons and the chart doesn’t appear. (However, when I first logged in, it was there).
I’m not bashing Suite in any way, and am really eager and keen to get cracking - I can see it being of real benefit, however, there is obviously something we have missed
(btw, he has followed the instructions on the wiki for both the suite install and then the install for sugar which is running side by side).
Any help would be much appreciated. The newest version of Suite looks amazing and is a real step forward
Craig
