we are a small-sized German bicycle reseller (42 employees) located in Chemnitz, Saxony. At the moment we sell our product in six shops distributed in Saxony, Bavaria and Brandenburg.
Our company is looking for an appropriate CRM-system.
Point of interest is whether the following functions …
importing CSV-files
preparation of an offer
invoicing
after-sales-service
forecasting
reporting
browser-usability and usability on tablets
user friendly UI
campaign-management
lead-management
app-integration
e-mail-marketing
are still working, if we host your CRM-system on our own server?
So the question: Do all mentioned functions still work, if the system is running at our own server?
You can set up your email either with external accounts (like gmail) or by setting up sendmail (or similar) on the same server as SuiteCRM, or by using a separate self-hosted email server. You can do anything, really, SuiteCRM is friendly to all architectures, I would say.
You might find it a good moment to read my ramblings here
although you probably already know this. I don’t suggest that you follow that directly, I just think it raises the sort of issues that are helpful to raise when deciding for self-hosting.
If you want to get more advanced consultancy for your case (migration, customizations, etc), tell me, and I’ll have someone from SalesAgility contact you for a quote.
If not, you can just keep asking questions here and I’ll answer the best I can.
