Features missing upgrading from SuiteCRM 6.5.24 to SuiteCRM

Hello,
Reading through the various issues I was unable to find my specific problem: I am upgrading from a perfectly all right working SugarCRM CE 6.5.24 to SuiteCRM 7.6 with the help of the migration package “SugarCE Migration 6.x to Suite 7.6.6.zip” from the download area. I ran into the following problems:
Preparation before upgrade:

  1. All 17 points regarded in the upgrade instructions
  2. Additionally all additional modules uninstalled prior to the upgrade
  3. Upgrade procedure works like a charm
  4. It seems to look like the exact copy of my previous SugarCRM 6.5.24 but with a new Skin only.
    I ran into the following observations (compared to a native installation of SuiteCRM from the package). Following functions are not available, missing or not working:
  5. “Projects” missing
  6. In Cases – Other – Case Updates Threaded – entering into the filed, clicking save, the window “performing task – one moment please” stays forever and nothing will happen (one of the most important motivations for upgrade to SuiteCRM)
    Does anyone have experienced similar issues? How to fix this? Should I use a different upgrade procedure?
