Export customisation Suite CRM 7.8 and 7.12

I am trying to export the customisation that I have made but get this error

Forbidden

You don’t have permission to access this resource.Server unable to read htaccess file, denying access to be safe

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Any help most appreciated

Solved it was permission and thought I had changed them. Custom directory has to be 775 for all libaries
