Email Attachments not displayed when email is sent in plain text in Version 7.11.18

Hi guys,

I get several emails per day which are in plain text with email attachments. SuitCRM’s builtin mail client does not show the attachments. I can see and download them fine using Thunderbird or other mail clients. Is there a patch for this which I missed while upgrading? Using Version 7.11.18.

I’ve sent myself a Plaintext email, and both Attachments have come through and are visible in the CRM:

And can be accessed after using the “Import” action:


If you’re still having issues, may I ask which Email providers your are sending To/From?
Perhaps it is down to how the CRM handles specific providers?

Thanks for following up on this. Yes, we still get this issue, it does not seem to matter where the emails are sent from- as providers go. It happens on mail sent via our own mail systems, gmail, yahoo, hotmail, and others I have noted. All of them, once I import the mail to a contact- I can then see the attachment. I’ve been running Thunderbird in parallel for those which I don’t have contacts- or suspected spam.

Another issue I have (with only one suitecrm account ) is switching from one mail profile to another- something is not initialized in the JS- the moment after I sort the emails (ascending or descending) I can then switch accounts - and then I may switch back to the second account- but, I need to sort again to switch once more. Don’t know if they’re related or not.

Thanks- Let me know if you feel I should make a separate post on the account switching. We do have another user with two mail accounts and no issues switching. Tried removing the accounts from the servers and adding back again- and it happens on any device or browser that I have tried.
