Does anyone know if there’s a way to do a double opt-in or email confirmation from a web-to-lead form? I’d like to require that people confirm their email address after subscribing to our emails (via a web to lead form).

Is there any update on this? I am also looking for a double opt-in feature.
I want to send an email to a target list. If they click on subscribe their email is accepted for the newsletter.

I feel any one who creates the web to lead forms for SuiteCRM must incorporate this feature to build the genuine list of the customer.

  • Double Opt-In can be achieved by creating a after save logic hook, such that when the lead comes in you mark the email address as Opt-out.
  • The code should send an email with the custom entrypoint link, which when customer clicks you will be able to identify the crm record and confirm them as genuine subscriber and mark the record as Opt-in.

I did not understand this paragraph.

For that part, you should be aware of some basic programming skills to create logic hook and entryPoint.

For logic hook, you may need to refer this.

It seems that a double op-in process is basic to all marketing.
Is this not a part of Suite CRM already? Do I have to become a programmer to do this universally required function?

If so, what language do I need to learn? Php? Javascript? What else?
Is the word entryPoint with a capital P significant to a function within SuiteCRM
Where can I learn about entryPoints?

I’m shocked that this basic function is not already implemented.
Is there not already a module or plugin for this basic marketing functionality?

For this first group of 5000, I need to send them the sign up email only sense they are not going to a web page. I already have their email address.
