Hi, can somebody address us to some documentation on how the currency logic work?

We are really a bit confused on currencies: we see there are 3 options
- admin/currencies (with conversions)
- admin/currency in Locale
- personal profile
Our aim is to clean up what we have in version 7, so to migrate to 8 with no issues with currency.
since we decided not to use currencies, we’ve just removed it: and updated all records that had different currencies: we understood a bit of how currency worked but just enough to remove it: I think some (even basic) docs may help who want to take advantage of the currency logic
The Documentation site is a sort of a “wiki”, it is editable by users. If you know something we don’t, please update the site 
ah, ok, good to know, we may do it but where we do know something.
as regard with currencies we do not know really anything (plus we decided to don’t use this feature): but I am sure that something was already existing since the logic should be pretty dated (and probably following some kind of crm standard): we’ve tried to search in old docs (e.g. sugar) but could not find it
