Thinking about implementing suiteCRM and hosting it ourselves with our hosting company. Obviously security is a concern. Does anyone have any experience with this product?
It looks like a convenient to use front-end to Fail2ban. But no, I’ve never used it.
Don’t bet your entire security on that - it is just a part of what you need to defend against. I would say a properly configured firewall is more important.
For anyone interested in CRM Defender, it’s a plugin that completely defends your instance from bruteforce and dictionary attacks.
As per your needs, you can wait until it’s added to the core SuiteCRM project: we gave it as our contribution; or if you are in a hurry, you can purchase it from the store.
