Creating new Appointment

Hi,

I just installed version 7.7.8 and tested a couple of things. What I couldn’t get working is adding a new appointment when clicking directly in the calendar. I only see “Loading…” in the left top corner and the rest of the fields isn’t diplayed. The buttons also don’t get highlighted when hovering over them. (Also when I sign in with English)

When creating a new appointment via left menu, everyhing works fine.

Any ideas what could cause the problem ?

Check your file and folder permissions, undefined is something related to that

Hi Mike,

thank you for your suggestion. I already checked the permissions - all folders are 777 and all files I checkd have 777 too. I don’t have console access to this server (=hosted web) so I can’t change the permissions with chmod to 755 like described in the installation guide. Is there a specific file I could extra check.

777 is not a proper permission, you need to talk to your hosting provider, there are many other people in the forums with same problem and their hosting company solved for them, did you try to repair and rebuild after that? can you just in case, check it with another theme? the theme that you use is not being developed since a long time ago, and yes, different themes can give you different behaviors.

I tried the origonal theme in english - same problem -> see screenshot.

regarding the permissions (screenshot2) -> the owner of all files and folders is me (my web user). Setting permissions to 755 -> rwx rw rw should resove the problem with the popup?

I guess I will need support from my hoster since I’m not able to change the owner and cannot chmod the files. I wanted to avoid this, because this installation should be a test installation only. I guess SuiteCRM is not the right thing for hosted webservices.

anyway, thanks a lot mike.

Hi again,

I found the problem. I didn’t have to change the user. The problem was the permission of folder /cache/jsLanguage -> I set it to 777 and now everything works fine!
