Create a password manually for a user cannot be done actually

Hello,

I am testing suiteCRM. I have noticed that it is impossible to create a password for a user manually.
I have check the forum and did not find any answer to this.
Are you planning to have this functionality in the near future?

You can create a password manually. What you do is go into password management and un-check the enable system generated password feature. You will then be able to go into the user an manually create and edit passwords.

I have tried this also.
But when i go in the user account, there is no link or button to create a password…
I have checked in the forum also and i did not find any answer to this.

Have someone tried to do this successfully?

I’m using version 7.12
see the pics.

I did the changes, log off, then log on. Then i tried on another browser also…
Still not working :frowning:

Clear your browser cache and reload the page. You could also turn on developer mode in the suite settings.

Also in your screen shot you are just viewing the user. You actually have to EDIT the user!!
