Clean Install?

Hello,

I’ve been having some problems upgrading to 7.4 from 7.1.x.

I was thinking that maybe I should do a clean install of 7.4.1 and then migrating the data and the custom modules to the clean install.

  1. How would I go about migrating my custom modules to the newly installed SuiteCRM?
  2. How would I migrate the current data into the new install?
  3. Am I crazy even trying to do this? (We’ve been on Suite CRM for about 18 months and and have about 12,000 cases and other data).

I really like SuiteCRM, but I am stuck on version 7.1.3.

Any suggestions would be very helpful.

You need to follow this order to update

SuiteCRM-Upgrade-7.1.x-to-7.3.2
SuiteCRM-Upgrade-7.3.x-to-7.4.1

You can’t update from 7.1 to 7.4

I have done the upgrade path so many times. The problems all start with 7.3. This is why I have given up on the upgrade path and thought a fresh install would help me.

I’ve followed the upgrade path carefully, and I am not able to use cases updates correctly. This is why I’m thinking of just starting over and importing my data.
