Clean install of 7.8.2 on Centos 7
Everything appears to work except the calendar, which only displays a blank page. The Settings button is also not functional. This is the same using all major browsers and Mac OS / Windows 10 / Ubuntu.
Any suggestions as to how to fix this?

Can you specify which version of PHP are you using? It seems an issue with PHP type casting in PHP 7 with a calendar module. We found same issue on our version too. You can fix it by following changes
Go to modules/Calendar/CalendarDisplay.php
PHP 7.1
