Is it possible in suite crm to calculate a field against another in a module?

Calculated fields are not standard in SuiteCRM, but can be coded.

Hello,
I’d recommend you to on using Logic Hooks.
I personally used this kind of technique to do field calculations.
Please get back to me if you need some example codes.
But if you Google a little bit, you’ll find many interesting stuff. Please check these (they were useful for me):
