When I add a new field with either Studio or Module Builder to a custom module, the previously entered data in the related module subpanel becomes missing. For example, I have a Confirmed Orders module and a related Confirmed Order Details module. If I add a new field to the Confirmed Orders module, all the data from Confirmed Order Details subpanel becomes missing. I understand the data is still in the table and it is because I have updated a module. They are just not connected anymore.
Is there anyway to get the related data back? And how can this be prevented? It would be an absolute nightmare if all the related data from years of input are not connected anymore only because a field was added to a module.
