Hi everybody

Please take 2 minutes to answer the simple survey, on if (and how) you use email.

Lots of people in the forum have email set -up problems, it seems.

This thread is to collect together, in 1 place - everybody’s situation.

Two questions only (+ sub questions)

use ‘Don’t Know’ - if you don’t know.

Q1) Does my organisation use Email with SuiteCRM ?

Y / N

IF NO - then stop

IF YES:

Q2) how we use Email in SuiteCRM

a) users have their own, unique email address in Suite : Y /N

b) group emails are used: Y/N

c) We use: Google / Outlook / our own mail servers / something else /don;'t know…
c2) We use IMAP / OAUTH/ SMTP / don’t know

d) Users read INBOUND email in Suite: Y / N

If Yes:
---- d2) IMPORTing emails
---->: Users manually select emails one by one Y/N
OR
—> the Import is automatic : N /Y (If Y: how is it done / don’t know

e) Users SEND email from Suite: Y / N

f) Email cleaning: we have a method to Delete/Archive old emails: -Y / N / don’t know

Lastly - about me personally

h) if someone sent me, in the forum, a DM question about my email usage/configuration: I would respond: Yes / Maybe / No

We are in the process of implementing SuiteCRM. We would like to use email with SuiteCRM.

But as question 2 and sub questions imply, it is very, very complex topic.

I’d be glad if SuiteCRM project steps up with helpful resources.

thanks for responding.
It is indeed complex - hence the idea to collect together here current usages.

You first posted to the forums in 2019 I see - has your organisations been using Suite since then - or something else?

In terms of the email needs your organisation has - it would be helpful to hear your answers to the questions above.

PS - by the lack of results, either email is not much used on SuiteCRM - or else those who have got it working don’t feel any more that it is of interest.

OR… my questions were not helpfully packaged :slight_smile:

To (this) forum people come when they have a problem. To post a problem. To seek help.
Sadly there are only handfull of people who have the knowledge and are willing to help here. Hence the lack of results.
You have to choose also other channels.

Regarding your other questions I’m not able to answer them yet. Sorry.
