"an error has occurred during deploy process" when I try to deploy a custom module but module loader works

I started running into this issue recently after re-deploying a custom module many times with success… I’m not sure what changed. When I make changes to my custom module in module builder and then deploy I get “an error has occurred during the deploy process”. I then do a Quick Repair and Rebuild, install the new module with the module loader, and then do another Quick Repair and Rebuild and everything appears ok with the new module changes applied.

How can I troubleshoot this issue?

Hi,

never use the deploy function in studio and never redeploy. I advise you to always publish your module and then install it with module loader.

In case you would like to install a new version, uninstall the previous version in module loader, making sure to check “Keep tables” and afterwards install a newer version.
