I take this post again as I too find myself having the same problem, following a search the various fields are searched but the products are all displayed.
I followed the advice to create the UnifiedSearch.php file but, unfortunately, it is not a good thing.
Is there any other known solution?
If you can explain in more detail (exactly) what you did, for what module, etc., maybe it can be fixed…
I clicked on the magnifying glass at the top right and searched for a product (code 3280). As you can see it shows me all the articles in db.
Can you raise your log level to debug and then run the search again, and try to find in the logs the exact SQL query it generated?
