Is there a way to raise a notification when a task becomes overdue?

I have tried using a workflow to the Alerts module, hoping that a notification would be sent to the “Notification Bell” header of SuiteCRM.

With regard to workflow, I think the Run - Always option runs on any interaction of the record / task. I guess to achieve a Task Overdue notification alert I would need the workflow to run on Scheduler?

Any advice appreciated.

Can’t you just AOW a condition, when the task overdue date meets now, then create record -> Alert ?

Does create alert from AOW works? I set this AOW and I do not have an alert. In the log, I see the update of the alert record instead insert.
Is it some bug?
