Advanced search does not list search topic

I am confused – When conducting a global search, I type in the criteria and com up with attached initial search.

I click on Use Basic Search (to get to advanced search) and I scroll down to Projects and it lists ALL projects in my company, not the expected 5 projects.

Any reason our search module is doing this? Any fix for this?

I was more interested in uncovering why the search is like that with a fix and not a plug-in module to enhance your searches.
