I have recently installed SuiteCRM 7.9.8, The installation appears to be OK, with no error messages etc, but I cannot get the address fields in Accounts (Billing Address, Shipping Address) and Contacts (Primary Address, Other Address) to display, despite there being valid data in the fields if I edit the record.
With in-line editing enabled, I can double click in the fields, and the address detail becomes visible, and persists when the record is saved. However it disappears again upon browser refresh or navigation to a different record and back. With in-line editing disabled, the address data is never visible.
I see the same issue on the demo site. I have tried with Chrome and Firefox.
Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong?
100% Concur. See this screenshot: https://www.screencast.com/t/iSTPkfRLmp
All data is visibly missing for Accounts and Contacts.
- I have verified permissions
- I have completed a Quick Repair & Rebuild
In this state SuiteCRM is unusable.
Your notification in GitHub was merged with this: https://github.com/salesagility/SuiteCRM/issues/4868
However, I’m not sure they are really the same.
I updated the two files per https://github.com/salesagility/SuiteCRM/commit/ba8c4cb9cb54bb63e96c9cc875d3ab252be1e5ee
However, the patch did NOT resolve the issue…
The addition of the two files did work for me but only with inline editing enabled. I’m new to this but figured that there might be a cache somewhere that needed flushing for the new files to take effect, so I enabled developer mode and then disabled it again. After doing this, the fix worked.
Sadly for me, enabling/disabling developer mode did not fix it. The issue persists.
Were you seeing the same issue where all the core fields were missing and only displayed during edit or was your situation more targeted?
I suggest deleting “cache/themes” (it will get automatically rebuilt) and then doing a few Repairs from “Admin / Repairs”, not only QR&R but also those Javascript things.
Thank you for the suggestion. However, that does not fix the issue.
- Deleted cache/themes
- Repaired all files
- Verified new cache/themes folder
Same problem. Viewing Contacts/Accounts details broken.
@larsenja I don’t know, then… maybe you should leave a comment on GitHub and include as much information as you can gather - anything in suitecrm.log, php_errrors.log, etc.
