Add field to a relationship table and show it in subpanel in suitecrm 8

I work on a project that uses suitecrm 8 and requires adding a field to a relationship table and displaying it in a subpanel. The modules are contacts and a custom module and the relationship is many-to-many. I am following this guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgidOKu3oHI&t=1546s The field is successfully added to the relational table but it cannot be displayed in the subpanel.

I have reviewed in detail following the modifications shown in the guide but there has been no success.

Does anyone know if this guide applies to suitecrm 8? In suitecrm 8 the view has changed. Could it work if i use legal view again?

You can start by trying the legacy view and seeing if it works. I don’t know if this can work in v8, but since it’s already quite a complex customization in v7, definitely test that first…
