Add custom module to parenty_type_display

Hi all,
I have to add my custom module in the parent_type (on the notes module).
I thought it was enough to add the item in the parent_type_display dropdown but the option in this way is not displayed.

Can I proceed in another way?

Solved.

for NOTES, the dropdown to add your custom module is record_type_display_notes and not parent_type_display as I thought.
