You mention that the problem is related to permissions.
Each time I try to perform an upgrade, the first step that the install process does is check for permisions. If they are not right, they will prevent you from upgrading your software.
It seems that there are always a few files that need their permissions fixed, and I fix them as requested.
How is that possible since I just upgraded the software (that has not seemingly worked because I keep getting this permissions problem)? All permissions where checked.
You have ideas?
I would be grateful for ideas, as my number of times attempting to upgrade has past the double digits.
AS I replied to another post, I reply here as well.
My sysadmin looked things over and had a comment about the permissions problem:
The problem may not be as much permissions as ownership. When the upgrade process happens some files appear with the owner and group of root. What is not clear to me is the mechanism by which this happens since the upgrade is done from the web. If anything I would expect to see files showing up with the ownership of the web servers parent process.
Any feedback woudl be greatly appreciated to get past this roadblock.
